An incident of a car sinking into a lake on live television created a chatter. Video of the incident has now surfaced online and is shared by many.
The incident took place when WCIS reporter Jakob Emerson was reporting on a proposed project in the area, Fox News reports. In the video, the truck slowly slides through the water and is then submerged. Fortunately, no one was inside the car when the incident happened.
Sangamon County Emergency Management Office director Bill Lee said the ramp the car was parked on was covered with a slippery layer of algae, Fox News reports.
âMost of them have a very gradual decline, it seems to be going down relatively quickly,â Lee told WCIS. âIt’s always best to park at the top of the ramp and go down and walk the ramp to identify if that thick seaweed is there and is making it really slippery.
