ITV This Morning: Ben Hardy’s life, from EastEnders stardom to Hollywood fame, famous girlfriend and ex-actress
Any devotee EastEnders fan will know Ben Hardy’s name. Actor Ben, 31, rose to fame playing Peter Beale in the classic BBC soap opera, and since taking Hollywood by storm, appearing in a number of blockbusters over the past few years.
Since leaving Albert Square in 2015, Ben has appeared in the likes of Bohemian Rhapsody and X-Men: Apocalypse. His career has gone from strength to strength and he’s amassed a devoted fan base who enjoy learning the behind-the-scenes details of his life away from the big screen.

In terms of relationships, Ben has kept his cards relatively close to his chest over the years. What we do know is that he was previously in a relationship with fellow actress Olivia Cooke. Olivia is known for roles in the likes of modern love and Elf .
The couple separated during the lockdown after the relationship ended. A source said The sun “Olivia and Ben were enamored at first but the intensity quickly faded. They are at pivotal times in their acting careers and just couldn’t make it work.
More recently, Ben has been in a relationship with another familiar face. Ben’s girlfriend is another former EastEnders star, Jessica Plummer. Jessica is known for playing Chantelle Atkins on the soap opera, although she left in 2020. While the couple starred in EastEnders their soap stints did not cross, as Ben left Walford in 2015 and Jessica joined the cast in 2019.
They are believed to have first met while filming the new BBC drama, The girl before , with new snaps showing the pair portraying a couple on the show. In August 2021, a source said The sun : “Their on-screen chemistry has led them to spend some off-screen time together since June.”

Ben has long been open about how grateful he is for his EastEnders opportunity. However, in an interview with talkRADIO, he admitted he needed to quit the soap because he “started to feel [himself] become lazy”.
“The problem with being there for so long was that I found myself a little complacent,” he explained. “I started to feel like I was getting lazy as an actor. I needed to kick myself in the ass and get out. The problem with working in soap is you’re constantly underprepared no matter how hard you try because you punch two hours of material every week.
