MCLAUGHLIN SET FOR SUPERCARS TV ROLE

SUPERCARS champion Scott McLaughlin will return to the paddock for the first time since his time in IndyCar.

McLaughlin hinted at the development this afternoon, posting a photo of a 2022 Supercars All Zones Access Pass under the Supercars Media banner.

Supercars Media is the arm producing the championship broadcast, indicating that he will appear in a television role on the pitch at some point this year.

It is not yet known which event(s) McLaughlin will be competing in, with three rounds remaining after this weekend: the Repco Bathurst 1000 October 6-9, Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 (October 28-30) and VALO Adelaide 500 (December 1-2). 4).

McLaughlin left Supercars in October 2020 to pursue his dream of IndyCar full-time in the United States.

He is now a three-time race winner in the American open-wheel series and an outside shot at the title.

The 29-year-old signed a multi-year contract extension with Team Penske during the week.
