Megan Boone signs landmark deal with Sony Pictures Television following release of “The Blacklist”

Megan Boone and her new production company, Weird Sister, signed a first deal with Sony Pictures Television on the heels of Boone’s release of “The Blacklist” on NBC, a spokesperson for the actress told TheWrap.

Boone’s eight-season series starring Elizabeth “Liz” Keen opposite James Spader as Raymond “Red” Reddington in Sony-produced “The Blacklist,” ended with the drama’s Season 8 finale. FBI Wednesday. This episode is the last that will feature Boone as a series regular, although the series has already been renewed for season 9 on NBC.

Aside from her now-completed role as Liz on “The Blacklist,” Keen’s most notable recent TV credit is Barry Jenkins’ Amazon Prime Video limited series “The Underground Railroad,” which premiered on May 14.

On the film side, Boone starred in Adele Romanski’s relationship drama (“Moonlight”) “Leave Me As You Found Me”, for which she won the Best Actor award at the 2012 GenArt Film Festival.
