Former MLB pitcher Pedro Martinez cursed the referees during Tuesday’s San Francisco Giants-Arizona Diamondbacks game live.
MLB refereeing has raised blood pressure for many fans when they watch a game. You even see players in these contests expressing their opinions on the work of the officials. As for former pitcher Pedro Martinez, he has some very explicit thoughts on the referees.
While on the air for MLB Tonight on Tuesday, Martinez and his colleagues checked in during the San Francisco Giants’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. During the contest, Martinez felt Diamondbacks pitcher Luke Weaver should have been called in for a relapse. After he wasn’t called out, Martinez said the refs didn’t know what they were doing. Now, listen to what he really said.
Pedro Martinez thinks Luke Weaver should have been called upon to back down
Martinez challenged Weaver’s “mini wind-up” at the end of the first round. When the Hall of Fame pitcher was told that Weaver had never been called upon to back down in his career, that’s when he dropped the dirty word on live TV.
Seconds later, Martinez apologized for using the expletive. Let’s just say it caught a lot of people off guard, from his MLB Network studio colleagues to those watching from home.
The censors slipped for the second consecutive night. First, ESPN2 for not catching Eli Manning’s double major. Now MLB Network isn’t catching Martinez dropping the s-word.
