The life of EastEnders’ Nejdet Adamson after Ali Osman: from the struggle for roles in Pirates of the Caribbean
[ad_1]
True EastEnders fans will never forget Ali Osman.
Nejdet Adamson starred in the popular British soap opera as one of the original cast members.
The talented actor left Walford over 32 years ago and after he left he embarked on a new journey to Hollywood.
Nej has landed the role of Ali Osman since the show began in 1985.
Ali has faced a number of difficult stories during his time in the square, such as the breakdown of his marriage, the loss of his child and the struggle with a serious gambling addiction.

The humble character could be compared to any average man walking down the streets in London.
However, no one could have imagined that the actor could have swapped his life from a humble Albert Square local to that of a pirate in a huge blockbuster movie.
The actor landed a role as a little sailor in the Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and even its sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man’s Chest (2006).
This is all the more shocking as it has been reported that the 62-year-old actor has struggled to secure roles in his career after leaving EastEnders.

Nej has spoken openly about his struggles with acting.
On the show’s 25th anniversary in 2010, he revealed, âI’ve had to live with Ali for 25 years. I’m just trying to get on with my life.
“I don’t give interviews. I still play but it’s hard when everyone is still Ali from the cafe.”
Adamson says he was cataloged due to his role in EastEnders.
Despite his struggles, he managed to land a role in Pirates of the Caribbean and starred alongside leading actors such as Johnny Depp and Kiera Knightly.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl grossed $ 654.3 million and its sequel, The Dead Man’s Chest, grossed a worldwide total of $ 1.066 billion.
In the years following his release from Enders, he landed a role in Carry On Columbus as Fayid, which also starred comedy king Rik Mayall.
Nej also appeared in two episodes of the television comedy drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet, and also appeared in Doctor Who and Wall of Silence (2004).
While struggling as a petite actor, Nej even briefly moved to Hollywood in 1990.
Unfortunately, Hollywood wasn’t all fun and fun after the actor moved to Hollywood. The star’s marriage to drama school sweetheart Susan Stevens broke up in 1990, just a year after they tied the knot.

Prior to his marriage to Stevens, Nej had a brief affair with his EastEnders co-star Linda Davidson, who played Mary Smith.
He’s still in the acting business, having starred in the crime drama Sleep Warm four years ago, and recently even starred in the horror film Heckle.
The star has accomplished a lot in her early acting career; from being part of a legendary EastEnders soap opera, to being on the Hollywood big screen.
It is not shocking to learn that his personal net worth has been estimated at between £ 1-5million.
Nej was once credited as Nej Salih and after the star left EastEnders in 1989, he changed his name to Nej Adamson.
He still lives in London.
