The Tigers will conclude the fall season on national television at the prestigious East Lake Cup

ATLANTA, Georgia – The Tigers will conclude their season this week in front of a national audience at the prestigious East Lake Cup at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

Every year since 2015, the East Lake Cup has invited the bottom four teams from the previous season’s NCAA Championship to play in the event at East Lake Golf Club, which is the site of the annual PGA Tour Championship as well as the home course. of golfing legend Bobby Jones.

This year, the women’s side field will consist of Auburn, Texas A&M, Oregon and UCLA. 2022 national champion Stanford was unable to attend and UCLA, which the Tigers defeated in the 2022 NCAA Championship quarterfinals, will take their place as the event’s fourth team.

“We played very well last year to win the opportunity to play in the East Lake Cup. We have a new team this year after some fifth-year seniors left after last season, so we would like to show how point we worked by finishing the season strong,” said Auburn Junior Elina Sinz. “Personally, I played pretty well and I want to end the fall on a high note. I’m really excited to play.”

Monday’s round will be a traditional stroke play format and an individual champion will be crowned. Monday’s team score will be used to determine the seeding for the match play format which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. The winning teams from Tuesday’s matches meet on Wednesday for the final game while the losing teams will play a consolation match.

The three-day event will be nationally televised on Golf Channel from 2-5 p.m. CT as well as streamed on the Golf Channel app.
