Event sponsor Sean Rosborough called Hardy “brilliant”.

“We found out he was probably coming a few weeks before,” he said.

“But the organizers kept it to themselves – and didn’t want masses of people showing up to distract him from what he was doing.

“He was brilliant. A lot of people were asking for pictures and coming to see him, and he had no problem with any of that.

“Moms were all over him. It didn’t bother him.

“And when he was fighting, he was focused on what he was doing. He is amazing at Jiu-Jitsu.

Hardy was seen posing with his gold medal and certificate, which featured his full name Edward.

After taking up the Brazilian martial art while filming ‘Warrior’, the Peaky Blinders star has clearly found a natural for himself.

Hardy has now won two jiu-jitsu tournaments after winning the competition in Wolverhampton in August.

Those in the building were treated to the Venom star emerging victorious from the event.

Hardy, who is a huge combat sports fan, trained in MMA for the 2011 movie Warrior and has combat experience in many of his roles.

They include playing the Kray twins in Legend and Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders.
